The
territory contains a precious historical heritage
in an exceptional conglomerate of Etruscan necropolis and Medieval churches
and castles. A dreamland of places to go and things to see for whoever
enjoys discovering the beauties of which this countryside has been generously
bestowed. - It is no coincidence that the Etruscans chose this area
as their home! Rome is only an hour away; Orvieto, (with its breathtaking
“Dome”), 30 km; the medieval “City of the Popes”
( i.e. Viterbo) 12 km,; the sea and the archaeological sites of Tarquinia
and Vulci only a half an hour away. Then there are the friendly, picturesque
villages of: Civita di Bagnoregio, Montefiascone, Tuscania, Bomarzo,
Capodimonte, Marta, and Bolsena among countless others. Even the famous
cities of art, like Siena, Arezzo, Assisi and Florence are easily accessible
from the Serpepe Farm.

Vulci: Etruscan necropolis ( tomb François),
Etruscan/ Roman archaeological site, the Abbadia castle, its bridge
and the archaeological museum.
- Tarquinia: The “Monterozzi”
necropolis world famous for the numerous tombs containing paintings
on their walls, the National Archaeological Museum and the medieval
town.
- Ischia di Castro: Ruins of the city
of Castro, the capital of the Farnese Duchy, Etruscan necropolis, archaeological
museum and the Lamone forest.
- Seaside resorts: Montalto di Castro,
Ansedonia, Mount Argentario.
- Pitigliano and Sovana: medieval villages
with etruscan origins.
- Saturnia: Thermal springs and Spa
- Viterbo: beautiful and well preserved
medieval quarters , archaeological museum and old medieval, renaissance
and baroque churches.
- Orvieto: The magnificent Dom, The
S. Patrizio well, old churches, Orvieto underground, the 2 archaeological
museums and the Etruscan necropolis of “Crocifisso del Tufo”.
- Civita di Bagnoregio: old medieval
village called “ The Dying town” because of its location.
- Bolsena: The Basilica of St.
Christine and the catacombs, the medieval quarter, the Monaldeschi castle
and the beautiful renaissance palace of “Del Drago” family.
- Tuscania: defined by some as an
“open air museum” with the old churches of St. Peter and
of Santa Maria Maggiore, the Etruscan museum and the medieval quarter.
- Lake Bolsena: numerous sandy
beaches, boat excursion to the “Martana” and “Bisentina”
Islands
- Thermal springs and Spas of Viterbo.
- Bomarzo: The famous “Park of monsters”,
or better still “the garden of delights” built by Vicino
Orsini during the renaissance.
- Soriano al Cimino: Orsini castle, the
Palazzo Chigi-Albani and the medieval quarter
- La Quercia: The elegant renaissance Basilica of the “Madonna
della Quercia”.
- Bagnaia: The “Villa Lante”
built by Vignola’s project, who inaugurated with it the concept
of “Italian gardens”.
- Caprarola: the spectacular renaissance
Farnese Palace created by Vignola on a previous pentagon-shaped stronghold,
the work of Antonio da Sangallo.
- Lake Vico: Beaches and nature.
- The Mount Cimino: A vast area covered
with age-longs beeches situated at more then 1.000 meters above sea-level.
